Colusa Dems Host District 1 Candidate at Nov. Meeting
Colusa Democrats will host Audrey Denney, Dist. 1 Candidate, during their Nov. 10 monthly meeting.

The Colusa County Democratic Central Committee will hold its monthly meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at 400 Roberts Road in Colusa.

Guest speaker Audrey Denney, a Democrat running in the 1st Congressional District against Rep. Doug LaMalfa, is scheduled to address attendees.

Denney grew up on a family farm on California’s Central Coast, was active in 4-H and FFA, and later served as a California State FFA officer. She holds a bachelor’s in agri-science and education and a master’s in agricultural education from Chico State. Her background includes lecturing and outreach for Chico State’s College of Agriculture, nonprofit consulting, and founding The Denney Group, which partners with food banks and other organizations.

She previously ran for Congress in 2018 and 2020. Denney lives in Chico and has chaired the Democratic Action Club of Chico. She also serves on the board of a local food pantry and teaches in the College of Communication and Education at Chico State.

Additionally, the group will review recent efforts and discuss next steps on volunteer outreach and election work, including results from Proposition 50 and planned activities listed on the agenda.
