COLUSA, Calif. — A quick drive in a new Ford can help Pierce High School athletics.

Hoblit Motors will host a Drive4UR Community event with Ford on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pierce High School, 960 Wildwood Road in Arbuckle.

For every completed test drive, Ford will donate $30 to the Pierce Pride Foundation, up to $6,000. Preregistration is requested at d4urc.com/79p9Y.

The Pierce Pride Foundation supports student athletics by promoting community involvement and raising funds for teams, equipment and related needs in coordination with Pierce High School coaches and administrators.

“We jumped at the chance to partner with Drive4UR Community and the ability to raise up to $6,000 for local schools,” owner Chris Hoblit said. “Come out and support your community.

Owner Chad Hoblit said the dealership’s community focus guided the decision.

“In today’s economy, with so many families and businesses struggling, we jumped at the chance to partner with Ford to provide much-needed resources for our schools and community,” he said.

Participants must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Only one qualified test drive per household will count toward the donation. Ford and Hoblit Motors will have a preselected route, a short survey, and a lineup of new Ford vehicles ready to drive.

Hoblit Motors says it will rotate beneficiary schools across Colusa County in future events.
