Veterans Day events set across Colusa and Yuba-Sutter

Veterans Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11, will feature ceremonies, a parade, meals and fundraisers across the region.

In Colusa, the Colusa County Veterans Association will hold its annual Veterans Day Golf Tournament fundraiser at Colusa Golf and Country Club. Check-in begins at 10 a.m., with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Teams are encouraged to pre-register. For details, contact Joe Bowers at 530-845-1846 or Duane Nokes at 530-701-9413.

At 1 p.m., the Colusa County Veterans Association, in partnership with VFW Post 2441 and American Legion Post 218, will host the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. The program will include a guest speaker and the reading of every name inscribed on the ten walls.

In Stonyford, the Stonyford Museum, 249 Market St., will host a Veterans Day Ceremony, “Honoring all that served,” at 11 a.m. Following the ceremony, a lunch of chili dogs and chicken pot pie soup will be served by donation.

In Marysville, the 23rd annual Yuba-Sutter Veterans Day Parade, “Supporting Our Troops: Past, Present, and Future,” begins at 11 a.m. on D Street between 6th and 7th streets in downtown Marysville.

The Veterans Day G.I. Breakfast runs from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Marysville Elks Lodge, 920 D St.

Following the parade, American Legion Post 807, 5477 Feather River Blvd. in Olivehurst, will serve a barbecue lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers with all the fixings, sides and dessert, with food served until noon.

Also in Marysville, a Veterans barbecue lunch fundraiser will be served at The River’s Edge Pub, 1 E. 12th St; and a tacos and a raffle fundraiser will be held at the WoodButcher, 301 C St.
